The unit was formed on 11 January 1917 by FEA 11 (flier replacement department) in accordance with order of KM (war Ministry) No. 1425.16g.A.7.L. It was activated by FEA 13, Breslau on 21 February 1917.
For some triplanes the military and/or factory number are not known. In these cases the identification number is specified by me such as par example (x11-3). This means, Jasta (fighter squadron) nr. 11 - nr 3.
