Jasta 34 was the only fighter squadron of the later jagdgeschwader IV (fighter wing) (formed 10.10.18) equipped with Fokker Dreidecker .
The fighter squadron 34 was formed by FEA 1 (flier replacement department) on 20 February 1917 in accordance with order of KM (war Ministry) No. 1425.16.g A7L by army department sector Strantz.
Starting from 10 April, Jasta 34 was equipped with the new Pfalz DIII and Fokker DrI's . This already were replaced 15. June by Fokker D VII .
Starting from August one received some Pfalz D XII.
For some triplanes the military and/or factory number are not known. In these cases the identification number is specified by me such as par example (x11-3). This means, Jasta (fighter squadron) nr. 11 - nr 3.
